MOTHER GAIA

Mother Gaia is featured in Issue 16 of Lotus Magazine, also showcased in the fourth annual Lotus Fashion Show. Inspired by the powerful connection we all have to Mother Earth, each looks aligns with an element of fire, earth, water, or soul. In the photoshoot, four models represented these four elements with two outfits, respectively. The first category of outfits aligned with our connection to Gaia, representing how we are one with nature, and the empowerment and connection to self, that each one of us can find through strengthening our connections to Earth. We shot in a dystopian location to curate a commentary on how capitalism and colonisation have created a seemingly dull society around us. Yet, this illustrious connection to our true purpose remains. The second category of outfits conveys a modern interpretation of the elements. We shot this category outside, reflecting on how we are still able to connect to the beautiful world around us despite the severed connection we are presented with in our everyday life.

Mother Gaia is my final project with LOTUS as senior Head Stylist, and I couldn't be more grateful for how it turned out.
